ever since i saw the ads… the typography were what i noticed first. they’re… i dunno… ugly. they look like the creator was trying hard to be different.

and then the bottle. first off, it’s lame. second, it’s bland. third… it looks like student’s work.

i think that of all the repositioning and redesigning that sunsilk has undergone, this is the worst.

On one hand, this looks like a good move. It signifies Yahoo’s attempt to change how it does things by creating a clean design innovation slate.

On the other hand, was it necessary to get rid of everyone? It’s doubtful if Yahoo can build any sort of innovative momentum, while they’re busy recruiting a new team.
